Morning Leaders – Long Day’s Journey

Morning Leaders. The long journeys help define us in a special way because the first two things we let go of are our Identities and our Connection to the world. Think of Sabbaticals, Vacations, Retreats, and Spiritual Transformation. We UNPLUG, for the most part, from our normal routine. Our limits are stretched. Our thoughts find freedom. We live…differently.
I wonder how have your “long journeys” affected your life? What have you learned during those times?

  1. Joseph, I really like this insightful post. It’s a nice reminder because I’m in a long journey right now brought on by parenting. It has left me the most vulnerable, and has reminded me to let go of my expectations…to deal in the now, in the reality of the situation, to unplug in order to regroup, take stock. It has been growing pains, but interestingly it has also inspired me. Simply my long journeys has matured me and ultimately have inspired me to strive and fulfill my purpose. In the moment though, it is quite difficult, painful and argh I can’t wait for it to be over. However, redemption is on the other side.

    • That was so beautifully written Tash. Thanks for sharing. In the words of Martin: “you go guuurl”. 🙂
