Morning Leaders. Things that make me go Hmmm. When instead of people asking me to do something (and deal with the possibility of rejection) they tell me “I need you to do this”. The first thought in my mind is: “Um, I don’t work for you.” #AskDontTell #MakesMeGoHmmm

Morning Leaders – Greatness
Morning Leaders. “Keep away from people who try to belittle your ambitions. Small people always do that, but the really great ones make you feel that you too can become great.” – Mark Twain
Read All About It…
In the coming weeks I will be making enhancements to this blog which will include a new look and a new name. You know I am always trying to provoke you to think…more…differently…in a new way. Well, I have provoked myself how to make this blog better. 🙂
My desire is to relaunch the blog in October. Rest assured I will continue “Morning Leaders”. That is not changing. I will be adding more content and articles throughout the Fall to reflect these three major areas:
1) Thought Provoking Ideas
2) Personal Development
3) Helping You Develop Others
From time to time I will even include Artistic Reflections I have written or have found online.
I am looking forward to making you better. Stay tuned.
Morning Leaders – Transform Culture
Morning Leaders. People do not work together in a vacuum. They work in a cultural context. If you do not define and cultivate the culture you want the team to operate within, then they will operate under the prevailing culture of the organization. And that culture might not necessarily work for your style of leadership or for the project you are leading. #TransformCulture #ChallengeUp #SpeakLife
Morning Leaders – Authentic You
Morning Leaders. “I think the reward for conformity is that everyone likes you except yourself” – Rita Mae Brown // #FindYourselfBeYourself #AuthenticYou
Morning Leaders – Wise Men
Morning Leaders. “Wise men speak because they have something to say; fools because they have to say something.” – Plato // Please don’t be a fool. #Shhhh
Morning Artists – Writing
Morning Artists. “You ask me why I spend my life writing? Do I find entertainment? Is it worthwhile? Above all, does it pay? If not, then, is there a reason?… I write only because there is a voice within me. That will not be still.” – Sylvia Plath // #Word
Morning Leaders – Words Have Power
Morning Leaders. “Kind words do not cost much. Yet they accomplish much.” – Blaise Pascal // #WordsHavePower
Morning Leaders – Mother Teresa
Morning Leaders. “People are often unreasonable and self-centered.
Forgive them anyway.
If you are kind, people may accuse you of ulterior motives.
Be kind anyway.
If you are honest, people may cheat you.
Be honest anyway.
If you find happiness, people may be jealous.
Be happy anyway.
The good you do today may be forgotten tomorrow.
Do good anyway.
Give the world the best you have and it may never be enough.
Give your best anyway.”
– Mother Teresa
Morning Leaders – Confession
Morning Leaders. This is not a boast, but an actual confession. I might just step on your toes. With my work, with my skills, with my thinking, with my discernment.
My humblest apologies if your limitations are not mine. And please excuse me if you desire for me to fit into your little box. With all sincerity I am not built to live in your box. I observe. I reflect. I check myself. I challenge. It’s what I do. #CriticalThinker #ChallengeUp #Confession
