“The anointing for prophetic intercession imparts the grace to endure. You don’t just pray to God. You learn to pray the prayers of God.”

Day 31 – The Prayer Cafe “31 Day Challenge”
Day 31
You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you. – John 15:16
“Prayer puts God’s work in His hands, and keeps it there. It looks to Him constantly and depends on Him implicitly to further His own cause. Prayer is but faith resting in, acting with, and leaning on and obeying God. This is why God loves it so well, why He puts all power into its hands, and why He so highly esteems men of prayer.” – E.M. Bounds
Let us pray:
Father, I pray for those who have been on this 31-Day Prayer Journey. May Your Light and Love abound in them richly. May they truly be connected to you as their Vine. May they bear good fruit. May they be wonderful witnesses of Your Grace and Love in word, in deed, and in attitude. And may they truly turn the world upside down.
In the name of Jesus I pray. Amen.

Day 29 – The Prayer Cafe “31 Day Challenge”
Day 29
And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. – John 14:13
“Go back! Back to that upper room; back to your knees; back to searching of heart and habit, thought and life; back to pleading, praying, waiting, till the Spirit of the Lord floods the soul with light, and you are endued with power from on high. Then go forth in the power of Pentecost, and the Christ-life shall be lived, and the works of Christ shall be done. You shall open blind eyes, cleanse foul hearts, break men’s fetters, and save men’s souls. In the power of the indwelling Spirit, miracles become the commonplace of daily living.” – Samuel Chadwick
Let us pray:
Speak what is in your heart.

I cried out to him with my mouth;
his praise was on my tongue.
– Psalm 66:17
Prayer for Self Knowledge
Lord Jesus, let me know myself and know You, and desire nothing save only You.
Let me hate myself and love You.
Let me do everything for the sake of You.
Let me humble myself and exalt You.
Let me think of nothing except You.
Let me die to myself and live in You.
Let me accept whatever happens as from You.
Let me banish self and follow You, and ever desire to follow You.
Let me fly from myself and take refuge in You,
That I may deserve to be defended by You.
Let me fear for myself.
Let me fear You, and let me be among those who are chosen by You.
Let me distrust myself and put my trust in You.
Let me be willing to obey for the sake of You.
Let me cling to nothing save only to You,
And let me be poor because of You.
Look upon me, that I may love You.
Call me that I may see You, and for ever enjoy You. Amen.
– Saint Augustine
Let us pray:
Lord, hear our prayers.

Day 25 – The Prayer Cafe “31 Day Challenge”
Day 25
About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening to them. – Acts 16:25
“The goal of prayer is the ear of God,” a goal that can only be reached by patient and continued and continuous waiting upon Him, pouring out our heart to Him and permitting Him to speak to us.” – E.M. Bounds
Let us pray:
“Hear my cry oh Lord. Give ear unto my earnest prayers. Rescue me Lord Jesus. And take away my every fear” – Hear My Cry (Fred Hammond)

Day 24 – The Prayer Cafe “31 Day Challenge”
Day 24
Praise awaits you, O God, in Zion; to you our vows will be fulfilled. O you who hear prayer, to you all men will come. – Psalm 65:1-2
“In God’s name I beseech you let prayer nourish your soul as your meals nourish your body. Let your fixed seasons of prayer keep you in God’s presence through the day, and His presence frequently remembered through it be an ever-fresh spring of prayer. Such a brief, loving recollection of God renews a man’s whole being, quiets his passions, supplies light and counsel in difficulty, gradually subdues the temper, and causes him to possess his soul in patience, or rather gives it up to the possession of God.” – Francois Fenelon
Let us pray:
Father, thank you for these 24 days of journeying with you in this prayer challenge. You have given us wonderful teaching, examples, and understanding of who you are and what prayer is. May these remaining days of this challenge continue to launch us into a new season of intimacy and prayer sacrifice with you. We thank you for your love and your grace. And thank you for guiding us with your love and light.

Day 23 – The Prayer Cafe “31 Day Challenge”
Day 23
And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him. – 1 John 5:15
“DEAR JESUS, help me to spread Thy fragrance everywhere I go. Flood my soul with Thy spirit and love. Penetrate and possess my whole being so utterly that all my life may only be a radiance of Thine. Shine through me and be so in me that every soul I come in contact with may feel Thy presence in my soul. Let them look up and see no longer me but only Jesus. Stay with me and then I shall begin to shine as you shine, so to shine as to be a light to others.” – Mother Teresa
Let us pray:
Lord hear our prayers.

Day 22 – The Prayer Cafe “31 Day Challenge”
Day 22
Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective. – James 5:16
“Around us is a world lost in sin, above us is a God willing and able to save; it is ours to build the bridge that links heaven and earth, and prayer is the mighty instrument that does the work.” – E.M. Bounds
Let us pray:
Open up your heart and mouths and build bridges today.
Lord hear our prayers…

Day 18 – The Prayer Cafe “31 Day Challenge”
Day 18
But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. – James 1:6
“Mr. Wesley spent two hours daily in prayer. He began at four in the morning. Of him, one who knew him well wrote: “He thought prayer to be more his business than anything else, and I have seen him come out of his closet with a serenity of face next to shining.” – E.M. Bounds
Let us pray:
I can say nothing but “Thank You Mr. Wesley for raising the bar”. Point well noted.
Lord, continue to teach me.
