The Biblical Remix – Wasn’t Me

The Biblical Remix – Wasn’t Me

Mark 14:66-72 – http://bit.ly/biblicalremixwasnotme

While the chief priests were trying to find false testimony against Jesus so they could put him to death, Peter was chilling outside in the courtyard waiting.

One of the servant girls looking at Peter blew up his spot saying he was one of Jesus’ peeps.  Peter denied it and moved away towards the gate.  Another girl saw Peter and blew up his spot again claiming he was down with Jesus.  Again Peter denied it.  Afterward when a group of people later called him out as being down with Jesus, Peter started cursing and swearing at them it wasn’t so.

In the background the reggae artist Shaggy was singing this chorus:

“It wasn’t me…It wasn’t me…It wasn’t me.”

Reflection:

You cannot deny your true character in the way God designed you.  When you follow the teachings and miracles of Jesus it sets you apart and makes you so unique others will notice it.

Do not be ashamed of Jesus or the Gospel as it is the power of God at work, saving everyone who believes.

1 Samuel 17:41-50 – http://bit.ly/g5JFNC

The young David took what seemed to be the impossible task of battling against the warrior Goliath. Although Goliath was packing a sword, a spear, and a javelin, David was rolling with the G-O-D.

After killing Goliath by slinging a stone into his forehead, David stood over his defeated enemy.

In the background this Buju Banton song began to play:

“Walk like a champion, Talk like a champion…”

Judges 4:13-23 – http://bit.ly/f2MU3r

Having been oppressed for twenty years by King Jabin, God provides a deliverer for Israel in the man of Barak. Barak and his army put a smack down on Sisera, the commander of King Jabin’s army.

In fear, Sisera runs away and hides in the tent of a woman named Jael.  While Sisera is sleeping, Jael takes a hammer and drives a peg through Sisera’s temple.

In the background this Chaka Demus song is playing:

“Murder she wrote, Na na na, Murder she wrote, Murder she wrote…”
