The Biblical Remix – On One

The Biblical Remix – On One

1 Chron 11:22-24 – http://bit.ly/biblicalremixonone

When it was time for some action, Benaiah would throw down with the best of them.  His skills were so tight he actually jumped into a pit on a snowy day and killed a lion.

If that wasn’t enough, one day  even stepped to a 7 1/2 foot tall Egyptian dude, took the Egyptian’s own spear out of his hands, and used that spear to kill the Egyptian.

When he walked out of that battle this Drake hook was playing in the background:

“I’m on one, Yeah, I said I’m on one…”

Reflection:

When you have skills, let them speak for themselves. You don’t have to go around bragging about how gifted and fly you are.

Remember the road called Pride leads to a destination called Destruction.

May Humility be the fragrance you bring in a room today.

While talking with her, he breaks it down that it will just be about the two of them from now on.

In the background this song from Guy was playing:

“Let’s chill, And let’s settle down, That’s what I wanna do, Just me and you…”

Luke 2:40-52 – http://bit.ly/e8krQ5

As was the custom, Jesus & his parents caught a ride into Jerusalem for the Feast of Passover every year.  After the feast his parents bounced not realizing the 12 year old Jesus was not in their company.

When his parents finally realized it, it took them three days to find Jesus in the Temple.  Excited finally to see him & yet ready to whoop his behind, Mary asked, “What the heck are you doing? Your father & I have been half out of our minds looking for you?”

Jesus smoothly replied, “Why were you looking for me?  Don’t you know I’m about my father’s business?”

In the background this Black Eyed Peas song began to play articulating Jesus’ love for being in His Father’s House:

“I just can’t get enough, I just can’t get enough…”

God’s love for mankind was (and still is) so strong that He let His Son Jesus be beaten, mocked and crucified by Roman soldiers to make up for all of our sins past, present, and future.

While hanging on the cross, this Bruno Mars song played to communicate a portion of God’s amazing love:

“I’d catch a grenade for ya, Throw my hand on a blade for ya…Yes, I would die for ya…”

Having heard of how Naomi, a foreigner & a widow, had taken care of her mother-in-law and had left her hometown to live amongst people she did not know, Boaz showed kindness to Naomi.  Fully impressed, he instructed her to pick up produce left by his reapers on his property and to feel free to drink water when thirsty.

Sold into slavery, Joseph quickly became the head person in charge of his master’s house. Time and time again his master’s wife would try to get freaky with Joseph but Joseph would not sin against God and his master.

One day while no one was around, his master’s wife grabbed Joseph by his clothes so she could get her freak on but Joseph bounced and left her with his jacket.

As he was kicking game to get in her pants this Blackstreet song played in the background:
