Delilah was an around the way girl who had it going on. And Samson fell hard for her.  However being a true playa he never gave up the secret of his great strength.

The Philistine big wigs made a financial proposal to Delilah to deceive Samson and find out his secret.

It took her a minute to get that info but after much bed talk, cunningness and nagging, Delilah got Samson to confess.  This would lead to Samson’s downfall.

As the Philistines carried the weak Samson out of the bedroom, Delilah counted her money. In the background this Adele song communicated Delilah’s heart:

“We could have had it all, Rolling in the deep, You had my heart inside your hand…”

Reflection:

Just because people roll with you, does not mean they would roll deep to the end. Samson in his lust/affection for Delilah allowed himself to be blinded to the hustle taking place all around him.

Be very careful. Do not place  your treasure amongst those who cannot value it. It could cost you everything.

The Biblical Remix – Everything Tonight

Never having had a razor touch his head since birth, Samson was a man given incredible strength by God. After defeating the enemy of his people, Samson went to the capital city Gaza and saw a harlot. When he walked into her crib this chorus sung by Ne-Yo was playing in the background:

“Give me everything tonight, Give me everything tonight, For all we know we might not get tomorrow, Let’s do it tonight.”

Reflection:
Although Samson was given great physical strength, he lacked moral strength which eventually led to his disaster.
What choices are you making with your life? Your relationships? Don’t let your character issues destroy the plans God has for you.

The Biblical Remix – Secrets

Having been enticed with an offer of over a thousand dollars by the Philistine rulers, Delilah ran a scheme on her unsuspecting new boyfriend Samson.  While they were chilling in her room, she ran her fingers through his hair while asking him the secret to his great strength.
